Our KPI Action Board is based on the Lean 1-3-10 second rule. This is a principle that aims to convey critical information to team members within a short space of time. In the context of problem-solving or decision-making, the rule suggests that individuals should strive to make initial observations and judgments within one second.
With our printed dry erase KPI Action Board, you should be able to see from the color red on the calendar if there is a problem (1 second). From the A4 graph or chart, you should be able to tell where the problem lies (3 seconds) and from looking at the table, you should be able to understand what the countermeasure is, who the problem owner is and what the current status is within 10 seconds. This rule aims to foster agility, efficiency, and proactive problem-solving by encouraging quick thinking, effective communication, and timely execution of tasks.
